Capturing the Energy of Leonid & Friends Live
When Leonid & Friends took the stage at the Pikes Peak Center, our team was behind the cameras capturing every note, solo, and standing ovation. What made this concert video production unique was the scale and speed of execution — a large, multicamera shoot organized on extremely short notice.
With just days to plan, we assembled a ten-camera setup, combining fixed positions with mobile operators to ensure complete coverage of the performance. Some cameras were manned, others locked off, but every angle was designed to deliver dynamic coverage of both the band and the electrified audience. Coordinating such a setup required careful choreography with the venue staff, who worked closely with us to adapt the house lighting for both the musicians and the cameras.
Concert videography always brings a mix of excitement and logistical challenges. At the Pikes Peak Center, we navigated a packed audience, an active stage production crew, and a constant stream of last-minute changes. Our focus was on keeping the shoot seamless — balancing technical precision with the creative energy of a live performance.
The keys to success on a production like this were communication, organization, and professionalism. Clear coordination between the venue, the band, and our video production crew ensured that everyone stayed aligned despite the tight schedule. Staying calm under pressure and rolling with the unexpected allowed us to adapt quickly as new requests came in right before showtime. And above all, maintaining professionalism at every step — from setup through load-out — kept the production running smoothly and built trust across every department involved.
The result was a smooth, high-energy production that captured the full intensity of Leonid & Friends’ live sound. From the first note to the final encore, our cameras caught it all. It was a demanding but incredibly rewarding night — proof that with the right team and the right attitude, even the most complex concert shoot can come together beautifully.
